Influx: British Superbikes: The True Heroes:

"Working with Studio20a was an outstanding experience.

"The team understood our needs and the intricacies of working around a live race paddock, but still managed to achieve their aims of filming, with limited track time, an awesome documentary.

"They worked well with us to ensure as little disruption as possible was felt, so we could go about our business as usual."

Nothing but respect.

It's only natural to look up to somebody who has achieved so much in an incredibly difficult sport. But this story goes much further than that.

The True Heroes Racing team are made up of current and ex-military personnel. They're some of the bravest and friendliest people you could wish to meet.

Within minutes we'd been made to feel like we were part of the team so we couldn't wait to help tell their story.

Aiming high.

We lurked in the shadows for a while, capturing footage of the team going about their work like they do at every race meeting.

But we had to step into the limelight to conduct interviews that would form the narrative of the short film for Influx. Once Adam Francis, among others, had started opening up about their experiences we knew we were onto a winner.

The project had quickly gone beyond a film. It was a message to all serving, retired or injured ex-military personnel that they can still achieve their sporting goals regardless of what's happened previously.

It's what True Heroes stand for as they aim to reach the pinnacle of British Superbikes. And after what we've seen we don't doubt they can reach the summit.

The loss of a hero.

Inbetween the shooting of the film and its release, True Heroes Racing suffered a tragedy.

Team member Mark Fincham sadly lost his life doing something he loved as the result of a racing incident at Thruxton.

After some careful thought and discussion, it was agreed the film would be released almost in its entirety as a way of tribute to Mark.

It further helps ensure that Mark won't be forgotten as the True Heroes team continue to race on in his honour.

"Adapting quickly to an unfamiliar environment they gelled with our team, joining in the fun and banter, but remaining professional throughout. The interviews were efficient, and although difficult questions were asked, they were done so in a way that made each member of True Heroes Racing feel at ease when talking about their experiences. This - on top of some thrilling on-board footage - helped 20a put together a film that was not only engaging, emotional and stunning visually, but allowed the ethos of what True Heroes Racing is all about to shine through.

"We are delighted the film has been viewed almost 275,000 times across Facebook, YouTube and Twitter as it helps spread the message of what we are achieving. Finally, the way Studio20a dealt with the tragic death of one of our team members, who was with us during filming at Snetterton, was both respectful and patient. Their patience and support enabled a slightly amended and delayed version of the film to go live with the support of the family and the whole team. At an incredibly difficult time their actions were appreciated."
